The annual clean up of local roads, streets, hedges, open areas, and farm boundaries will take place on Saturday 13th April 2013. We look forward to getting the usual great support from our local organisations and community. A skip will be available for all rubbish collected.
Members attended the March meeting of the County Monaghan Network of Tidy Towns Groups and Residents Associations in Castleblayney on Tuesday March 12th, where a lot of planning was done in anticipation of the annual Tidy Towns competition. It was brought to our attention the the judging category previously known as "Waste Minimisation" will now be known as "Sustainable Waste and Resource Management". We will review what the changes entail over the next few weeks, and what it will mean for waste reduction in our community.
